Summer is coming, which means many things to different people. But for a lot of people it means only one thing – Festival season!
In 2019 there are hundreds of different festivals all around the UK catering for many different interests and for the whole family - from rock music to comedy and literature and everything in between.
From the more famous big events like Glastonbury with 175,000 people attending or the combined Reading & Leeds festival with over 150,000 people at the joint event, to the smaller and more niche festivals, hundreds of thousands of people will be heading off for a weekend of fun this summer. Many of these people will be camping, and will soon be stocking up on all of the camping and other essentials for their festival trips.
Tents & Sleeping
Tents, Sleeping bags (and inflatable airbeds for extra comfort!) will obviously be in highest demand. Current trends for festival tents are for lightweight and portable tents, that are easy to carry from the car to the campsite and easy to put up. And don’t forget the torches too – there is not much light around the festival campsites at night, and it can be tricky for people to find their tent!
Furniture including gazebos, camping chairs for all the family, tables and picnic rugs must be portable and easy to carry from car to campsite.
Food & Drink
Food options can be quite limited at music festivals, with many people choosing to cook their own meals at their tents. Disposable BBQ’s are the most popular way of cooking at festivals, but gas camping stoves are growing in popularity due to the ease of cooking and ability to cook on-demand! It is also important to take on plenty of fluids at a festival, especially when the weather is warm so drinks holders, cups and bottles will be in big demand.
